However, recurring Propeller Skies writer Smoove D was less than impressed with the quality of the attendees at their most recent event. Your mileage may vary, hence this disclaimer - Ed.]
I wasted Saturday evening at Spiralween. This should have been a great event, as over three thousand people showed up. Unfortunately, the aforementioned three thousand people turned out to be the most unfriendly and cliquish crowd that I have ever seen at an event. In contrast, the crowd at Halloween Hookup the night before was extremely friendly and fun to hang out with.
At first, I thought my distressing state of sobriety contributed to my lack of satisfaction with the event. After further reflection and discussion with a recurring Propeller Skies character who also attended the event and was not the least bit sober, I was forced to conclude the people at the event were just wankers. Spiral is now on double secret probation.
The original plan was to shoot at Spiralween and then head over to Scary Party 4 and cover that as well. However, by the time I was done photographing I was tired and did not really feel like driving all the way over to the Masquerade to get a few more shots in. In retrospect, that was probably one of the worst decisions I have made recently. This was a terrible decision because Wednesday Night Drinking Club events are excellent every time. They always attract the kind of people I want to meet. And those people would be drunken hotties with loose morals in slutty outfits, or in this case, costumes.
