In the spirit of Thanksgiving, this post will not be focusing on the Aggies’ fifth straight loss to TU that occurred last Friday. Or Dennis Franchione’s inability to make adjustments to a suddenly porous offensive line late in the game.
Instead, I am thankful for a winning season, as opposed to last year’s train wreck. I am also thankful that the Aggies played well this year, with one notable exception (hint: it starts with a “b”, ends with an “r” and has “aylo” in the middle). It was exciting to watch them win six in a row, after opening the season with a loss to a surprisingly good Utah team.
Even though they failed to beat TU, or Oklahoma, I look forward to seeing what next year brings. Of course, anything less than total Big XII domination and a chance to play for the national championship will be complained about bitterly.
