fire torbush and franchione already
Carl Torbush needs to be fired immediately. Under his watch the Texas A&M defense, already ranked last in the Big 12 Conference, is getting worse. This week Torbush’s patented Pink Shirts defense performed worse in every category Propeller Skies tracks. The following statistics tell the tale:
- Texas A&M is allowing 26.4 points per game, an increase of 2.3 points per game;
- Pass defense remains dead last in the Big 12, with yards allowed increasing to 307.2 per game, an increase of 9.1 yards per game over last week;
- The Aggies have fallen to eighth in the Big 12 in rushing defense, allowing 119.0 yards per game, an increase of 8.4 yards per game; and
- Texas A&M remains last in the Big 12 in total defense with total yards allowed per game increasing to 426.2, or 17.5 more yards than last week. Opposing teams are now averaging 5.8 yards per play, or 0.2 more yards per play than last week.
This superlative performance came against Iowa State, which is ranked sixth in total offense and ninth in total defense in the conference. Making matters worse, this extremely poor performance by Torbush and the Pink Shirts occurred at Kyle Field in front of over 86,000 fans.
Unlike last week, the Aggie offense was unable to save the day. The rushing attack clearly got lost on the way to Kyle Field and missed the game. Passing was not any better, as Reggie McNeal had a hard time hitting receivers. Dennis Franchione should have pulled McNeal, who was clearly having an off day. The rank incompetence of Franchione and Torbush has become an embarrassment to the entire state of Texas.

I can’t believe what I am seeing. I was an advocate for Team Franchione, but not any more. These are miserable days in Aggieland. They are so bad that I miss Slocum who was mediocre at best. Unfortunately, the powers that be made their proverbial Franchione bed, and now they have to sleep in it. He is making entirely too much money - he has too long of a contract for someone who has had his ass handed to him 5 times since the last t.u. game. Someone tell him that it’s o.k. to go for 2 when you need to, big backs are for short yardage everytime, and passes can be thrown over 5 yards more than 3 times a game even if you miss the 1st one.
I am sick sick sick. I have season tickets that will remain dormant until Team Franchione is gone or they pull their head out of their ass.

I am just so disgusted by what kind of performance i am seing from the Texas A&M Football club.It is a steady decline like watching a slow miserable death, and OMG the play calling is pathetic..i have stood with this team because i know they have the potential to be a great ball club i get so disgusted at the way they have played i have to turn it off. they may have tried to make changes to their ball club but it is not working and i at least hope next season is alot better than this one.

Ditto, Bama Man! However, Aggie don’t feel so bad, as I bought his crap too! We are just lucky that he caught the midnight flight, while leaving the conditioning coach to console the players. What a chump! Send this clown back to Pop Warner where he belongs. Oh, wait! Would you want Fran hanging around the playground with your kids? Hey Fran, nnghuh wnhell I think you sound like you coach. Illiterate and inept. Thanks for leaving Alabama, A&M sorry you got fooled too. Cheers!
