merry christmas, internet
In the days of way back, before the Goo Goo Dolls wrote Name and figured out they could cash more checks and get more chicks by being pansies and every fucking rock and roll radio station in the country did not include either edge or x in their name, Robby Takac dj’d a little show called Modern Rock on the Fox. One of the downright excellent bands Mr. Takac introduced me to through his show was the Pogues. Enjoy, and to all five of you, thanks for reading.

The Pogues are one of the greatest bands ever. However, Shane MacGowan’s grill is so visceral, that I can smell whiskey, rotting teeth and gum disease coming off every syllable… even through the speakers.

Thanks Smoove and Merry Christmas to you to, hope it went well and many cocktails were consumed.
The Winter Mist sounds good and strong. I might have to give it a shot since I do have all the ingredients currently in the house, except ice.
I wonder how CJ found your blog post? That did really sound like the owner though. $7 for Guinness is lunacy.

My brother is in town looking for good bars relatively close to downtown (he’s got a show at the Mart) and he asked about C.H.. Any recommendations?

Happy New Year, SmooveD. Pogues were great. Is he still alive? Tuesday Morning is my favourite Pogues song.

Thanks, Writer. Yes, amazingly he is still alive. I will be seeing him and the rest of the band in March if they make it to Atlanta.
